Second pool short-course swim.
Just finished 1200m in the 50m pool and hop across to the 25m outdoor. It has started raining, so I stand under cover for a minute before realising—what the hell am I doing! I jump in and work through another 1200m.
If I had to guess, this quite shallow 25m, five-lane concrete pool predates the newer aquatic centre. It's tucked in a corner beside the outdoor changing rooms and it shows its age. Several layers of reworked patches are visible on the floor and walls.
Swim done, I head inside to finish the session.
