Manly Andrew 'Boy' Charlton Aquatic Centre (25m indoor)

I finish 1200 metres in each of the two outdoor pools, then hop inside for a bonus third pool to round out a 3600m session.

Rain starts outside but the indoor 25m is still pretty quiet. I take a middle lane and push off. Straight away there's a harsh chemical taste and smell. I'm used to chlorinated pools, but this is on another level. The outdoor pools, also chlorinated, are nothing like this. Also, the water is too warm. I figure both are due to the family aqua play park at the far end and some heavy dosing.

I pick up the pace to get the 1200m done. I don't want to risk my shoulder, but I want out of this water ASAP.

On a positive note, the huge glass wall floods the hall with light. It looks impressive, if you're not actually getting in the water.

Swim done, I head back outside to see if the outdoor changing is any better than the indoor cockroach house.
