It's a quick walk through Hyde Park (Sydney) from one of my favourite hotels (Hilton Sydney) to the impressive Cook + Phillip Aquatic Centre. As you approach the pool from the central business district, your initial view is a look down through low windows into the pool deck below! From this side, it appears as though the pool is below ground.

The pool deck has a very industrial look, from the entrance sign with its polished stainless steel blocks to the internal building structure with its large concrete columns, concrete slab ceiling and bare brick walls - all in complete contrast with the enormous colourful murals handing from the ceiling along the rear wall!

The pool is busy with swimmers pushing out decent pace laps, a real swimming business pool!
