2026

Another big year is underway, with the pool count climbing quickly and plenty more swims still to come.

2025

A big year adds 81 new pools across seven countries. Germany and Malta join the list, followed by a huge month of swimming through New Zealand and Australia in October.

2024

New pool progress takes a dip, with just 14 added to the list. There is still a return to the Pacific Northwest, though, with Canada back on the map too.

2023

Normal service resumes, with 62 pools across seven countries. The year starts in Florida, moves on to Dubai, continues through Scandinavia and reaches the US Pacific Northwest. The challenge also passes the 100 pool mark at last.

2022

Three is the grand total for the year. All three pools are outdoors, though, and one of them is in Hawaii.

2021

Another slow year, with just nine new pools added to the list, although one goes straight in as a new favourite swimming venue.

2020

Travel, swimming and the entire world go on pause, bringing the new pool total to a halt at just four for the year.

2019

Year three of the challenge adds another 28 pools to the list. It starts in Nevada, heads down to the Deep South, then rounds out in South Wales, UK.

2018

The year starts in Bristol, UK, works its way through Australia, then rounds out with the final new pool swim of the year 'up north' in Manchester.

2017

The challenge begins in New York, with 25 pools across three countries. The year ends back in New York, after swims as far and wide as Hawaii and Coventry.
