After a meeting in Fremont – a pretty interesting part of Seattle, by the way – I needed to squeeze in a swim before the evening’s entertainment. So, I made my way over to Queen Anne Pool, a solid spot for a workout.

The pool is a 25-yard facility with 6 lanes, and I managed to get in a decent swim at a 1:20 per 100 yards pace. Not too shabby, especially after a less-than-ideal night’s sleep. The jet lag hit me hard after arriving in Seattle mid-afternoon from London on Virgin Atlantic, so the swim helped shake off some of the exhaustion.

After the swim, I stopped by the Sub Pop store on 7th Avenue on the way home. Ended up buying a book I already own (though this one’s signed, so it’s a win!) and a cool Sub Pop sweater.

And tonight? I’m heading to the world-famous Paramount Theatre to catch Belly and The Breeders. Can’t wait for that!
