Afternoon swim at world-class double Olympic pool facility.
First of three planned pools - all under the same roof (sort of!). Not the quickest 1km but keen to save my shoulders to tackle the other two pools here, including the impressive 50m full Olympic outdoor swim stadium just through the glass door.
The sheer volume of water on display here is huge! The diving pit is built into the same tank and separated by what looks to be a semi-permanent floating boom, putting the overall size of this 25m wide pool somewhere around 75 meters long!
The pool hosted the 2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2007 World Aquatics Championships.
