Have a couple of hours before the pool opens for it's weekend community schedule so park the car mid-way up Zuma beach, leave the shoes in the boot and start walking north towards Trancas beach as far as I can before the houses jut out into the ocean, then turn back - must be a good four mile walk round-trip but walking along the wet sand makes it feel like forty!",[12,19,20],{},"Drive a bit further north to Oxnard then back down the Pacific Coast Highway 1 to Malibu and up the hill to Malibu high school.",[12,22,23],{},"Not convinced it's open when I first arrive, but then see a couple of people in the pool and the pop-up reception desk at the far end of the pool deck. The pool is open to the community at weekends, it's $3 entry and a fairly standard school pool setup with 10x 25 yard lanes and open-plan locker rooms.",[12,25,26],{},"The pool includes a diving pit and i've inadvertently picked a lane right above the steep drop which gives an odd optical illusion as the black lane line tracks along the bottom.
