Outdoor summer swim spot!
First visit to Oslo, and there’s a lot to see and do today, so this will be a quick 1km qualifying swim!
The heated outdoor pool is located in the Vigeland Sculpture Park on the outskirts of Oslo and is open throughout the summer months. On a hot summer's day, the pool is packed, and today is definitely one of those days!
Swim done! Time to join the crowd for a few minutes and watch the kamikaze kids launching themselves off the 10m diving boards—it’s both terrifying and impressive. Then, it’s off to explore more of Oslo!
I only realised when writing this post and checking Google Maps that there’s a second 50m ‘children’s paddling pool’ on the next tier down—somehow, I completely missed it!
Pool Review
Frognerbadet is a fantastic summer facility set in a spectacular location, and I can see why it’s so popular on a warm day. If you’re in Oslo during the summer, it’s well worth a visit!
