Quick pre-meeting swim before it's gone!
Last time I swam here, it was the early 90's and I was competing for Triple-S (SSS) at the Warwicks annual country swim meet; I recall picking up a few medals, which are (hopefully) stored somewhere safe in the loft!
I've heard the pool is about to close - before it falls down! They're replacing it with a new facility nearby and I beleive, converting the pool basin into a theatre or similar for Coventry universoty. I'm on my way to a meeting in nearby Kenilworth so this is the perfect chance to add this memorable pool to the list - even if I do need to get up at 6:00 am to fit it in the days scheudle!
The 50m x eight lane pool includes a diving pit mid-way on the far side.
Pool Review
The pool looks, and is tired! It's due to close soon so it seems all but essential maintenance has been cancelled.
