Finish a 2km swim in the 50m pool, then head over to the 25-yard pool for a bonus short-course session.

Not long after I get in, the lifeguard comes over for a chat and warns me that the water is a bit warmer in this one. That's an understatement. It feels more like a giant hot tub than a training pool!

Manage a relaxed 1,200 yards, which is plenty after the earlier swim, then head into Coronado for a Starbucks sausage and egg muffin. Basically the McDonald's version. After that, it's time to drive up to LAX for the flight home.
